Her interests are in women's health and wellness, in particular cardiovascular health. She is also passionate about helping women of childbearing age to maintain good overall health habits to insure their health for now, and for the future.
She provides real time health advice in the areas of contraception, pregnancy, unintended pregnancy, prevention of sexually transmitted infection, the trials and tribulations of perimenopause and health maintenance for women across their lifespan.
I have over 32 years of clinical experience in the OB setting. My interests are in improving healthy outcomes for the mother/infant dyad, in particular as it relates to perinatal mood disorders. I am also passionate with regards to promoting healthy birth choices and successful breastfeeding.
So many choices have to be made when having a baby, and there are so many myths, rumors and so much incorrect information out there. It is really important to me that pregnant moms have the best, most up-to-date, evidence-based information.
I am passionate about helping families navigate through the childbearing/childrearing years. I know that education and support builds parental confidence and strengthens the family unit. I take great pride in providing education that offers women all their available options-comprehensive, research-based, and non-judgemental information.
She brings more than 25 years of leading research and excellence in clinical practice that improves the lives of women and their babies. She is on the board of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses and currently serves on the Board for the Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies Coalition.
She is passionate about Family Centered Maternity Care because she believes that the birth experience belongs to the childbearing woman and her family and not to the hospital and healthcare providers.
She is currently completing a masters' program in nurse-midwifery at Georgetown University.
I am a neonatal nurse practitioner with a perinatal degree and a strong interest in the care of both mothers and babies. I work in the NICU and with my colleagues strive to strengthen preconception, interconception, and neonatal care, with an emphasis on creating healthy families.
She is passionate about the provision of family-centered developmentally appropriate care to high-risk and vulnerable newborns and infants.
Neonatal expert Candy Campbell has spent the past 10 of her 20 years as a neonatal nurse researching the impact of having a premature baby on the family. Her award winning film is Micropremature Babies: How Low Can You Go?
