Are you at risk of being “fired” by your pediatrician for declining vaccines for your infant, or asking your doctor to alter the CDC’s vaccine schedule? As many as 1 in 3 pediatricians are now taking such actions, according to Public Health Reports.

The Wall Street Journal reports that some pediatricians are concerned about unvaccinated patients spreading preventable diseases to other patients in their waiting rooms.

If you’re concerned about your pediatrician’s practices with immunizations, ask in advance. If you disagree on how to proceed, your pediatrician is required to provide care for up to 30 days after you’re released from the practice.
